The weather is getting better and the days are getting longer so we have those things going for us as they still debate on when it’s going to be the right time to turn us loose and under what circumstances.  Georgia is opening gyms with a lot of requirements for checking temperatures entering the gym, sanitizing practices, distancing, masks etc.  The final note at the bottom of the list banned “group exercise” which would be us.  Not sure what other states are doing.  For now I really think we will be this way for another month but I am just guessing.

Take advantage of those nice days, get outside and enjoy, get some yard work done, go for a walk or lounge in the sun for a while but get outside for heaven’s sake.  It’ll be good for you to get that fresh air and soak up some sun.

May is coming up this week so there will be Weigh and Measure day May 1.  We will skip the fat%, blood pressure and heart rate checks but if you have access to any equipment for that go right ahead and check.  So do your own weighing and measure waist, hips and thigh.  If you don’t have a tape measure then use a string and measure it with a ruler/yard stick.  Improvise as necessary.  One thing that will help everyone out is to take some time and clean out your pantry.  Get rid of all that snacks carbs that have been undermining your nutrition.  Try snacking on some nuts, apples, pears etc, carrots, SS peas, jerky or maybe a hard boiled egg.  A good Paleo snack would be a hard boiled egg (protein), 12-15 almonds (fat), 1/2 apple (carbohydrate), it also comes out to a 1 block snack in the Zone diet, 1 block of each macronutrient, protein, fats and carbohydrates.  Then keep working on drinking more water.  Target half your bodyweight in oz of water.  So a 200 lb man would target 100 oz of water per day.  Then break it down over a 12 hour period from 7 am to 7 pm, so about 8 oz per hour or a 16 oz pint every 2 hours.  You will have to work up to this so you don’t feel like you’re eternally going to the bathroom.  Let your body adapt to it over a week or two.

Anyone wanting to get on the list to do the home workouts just reply to me here and we can get you started May 1.  No equipment required, just your beast mode attitude!
